From “Man’s Search For Meaning” by Viktor Frankl:
“Everything can be taken from a man but one thing; the last of the human freedoms - to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.”
The Holocaust was, to me, a display of the worst a human being could bring to the world. The fact that people could care so little about the lives of others.
I am so thankful for the efforts of groups like Yad Vashem in creating and providing a way for the descendants of Holocaust victims to find as many answers as possible about questions arising from the circumstances the Holocaust brought about with such a devastating loss of life, of family, of stories.
