Can You Visit Disneyland On A Budget?

Well, it depends on the budget.  That’s the first question.  Sadly, Disneyland (and most of the Disney Parks), have become synonymous with expensive, requiring money to be budgeted for months and even years in advance before going.

Why so expensive?  It’s due to the sizes of the crowds.  Disney is raising prices during peak days of the year in an effort to thin the crowds during these times.  During other times of the year, they offer packages in order to entice people to come when the park isn’t so busy.

This can be great if you don’t have kids in school, or if you can excuse them from school for the days needed for the trip.

The down side of this is there are also usually more attractions down for maintenance during that time, so you may still not get enough bang for your buck.

Are there other things you can do to save money?  Yes.

If you stay at one of the Disney Park Hotels, transportation is provided for you and you can have your purchases from the park sent directly to the hotel you are staying at, rather than having to carry bags around with you all day.

Packing snacks is allowed into the parks, they should fit within your backpack.

If you are staying at one of the Disney Hotels, you can also go early in the morning, take a nap in the afternoon, and come back to the parks refreshed to finishe the day.

If you are not interested in the parades, you can go to see which attractions have reduced line times during the parades and fireworks shows.

There is even more for those going to Disney World, I highly recommend The Disney Food Blog on YouTube to find out about those.

Here are some extra ideas:
