Purse Organization
While I do know where things live in my purse, it’s no where near this organized, however I do need to do a better of job of organizing my purse and my wallet. Maybe at some point down the road and show a few pictures of how I have my purse organized.

A Bit of An Update
So, today was an interesting day. I had an appointment with Cox (cable company) to install their Homelife service. I didn’t really want it, but I could go up to the Preferred internet service (meaning I could use Cox’s hotspots around town) without it costing me an arm and a leg.
So I got some much needed cleaning done in preparation for this, but no one from Cox showed up.
I contacted their main support via chat, but they transferred me to a chat for Homelife support, only to be told I would have to call a toll free number to speak to a sales rep to get things sorted out. Apparently the appointment wasn’t set up correctly.
After listening to Muzak for at least 5 minutes, during which time I did some thinking as to did I really want to pursue this and found the answer was no, I hung up, got back on the chat with the main customer service and had the whole thing cancelled and my service put to where it was before.
The good news: I got some cleaning done. LOL.
FlyLady people will understand the sink.
Trust me, the dining room table has been worse.
The floor actually got vacuumed. Hell froze over this morning. LOL.
Recycling still needs to go out.

Organizing From The Inside Out - Where Do I Start?
From Julie Morgenstern:
From her book, “Organizing From The Inside Out” by Julie Morgenstern, the first part is to Analize the space. How is this space actually being used?
The next part is to Stratgize. How do you want to use the space that would be feasible for you?
The next can be seen in the videos below, courtesy of Oprah Winfrey and OWN.

Editing Is Everything
I LOVE this channel on YouTube. This goes back to my days at the school when I was not only creating videos (morning announcements, studen council election videos and the annual promotion video for the 8th graders moving to high school), but also teaching kids how to make these videos, including the no longer available AFI curriculum, which I am thankful I downloaded the materials and downloaded the videos featuring Sean Astin.
Erika, we need to do another late night (video creating) Panda Express run, my friend.
Here is the link to Dani’s channel:

One final word (there’s a surprise coming, I promise):
And now, for the exciting surprise, she did a 7 genres edit of Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone!

Costco Haul
I ended up going to two Costco’s, but I guess they no longer have the cat trees in the stores anymore. Oh well, I’ll look to see what Petsmart has.
I found a few things I can use here at home:
Thank you, Costco!
Do you remember during Winter Break (and the week after), I purchased and paid to have a new HVAC system and a new hot water heater installed? Because I have an executive membership at Costco, I received gift cards with a percentage of the purchase prices back. Because of this, I used one of the gift cards and stocked up on cat food and picked up a few things to use around the house.
I bought two cases each of the two kinds of cat food sold there:

Recycling 1 Day Early
After getting home from work and feeding the cats, it was early enough (and enough daylight left) to take some of the recycling out, including some of the rusted dishes from my Mother’s home.
Now, for some sweet and sour chicken and steamed veggies, followed by some Marie Calendar’s Banana Cream Pie. Yum.
The paper went, the blue bin for paper (non-shredded) recycling and the plastic bins (also damaged) with contents were driven over. The cardboard bins are already filled, so it was just as well I couldn’t fit my overflowing cardboard stash in my car. I believe they pick up tomorrow, I’ll check after work to make sure.

Hello, Menopause!
With everything else I’ve been through (widowed at 33, lost Dad at 40, lost Mom at 50), you would think I would catch a break, right?
Nope.
The doctor confirmed what I had already suspected: I am now officially in menopause.
That and my sugar was up, but given the diet of M&M’s I’ve been eating lately, yeah. No surprise there.
My cholesterol was good, as well as my vitamin D.
So, given this information at work, and on a grocery day, I went to Walmart and spent $132. Some of it was catch up, but a lot of it was emotional spending, and more than I had budgeted for. Buy hey, it’s menopause, that means limited to no sweets, trying to find a way to get some exercise in,, and popping loads of vitamins. I’m already on One A Day 50+, Vitamin D and Super B Complex. I figure I’ll start adding Caltrate to the mix.
My Magnesium was low, but I live in a desert. A hot desert. While experiencing hot spells. Yep.
I did find this article to help:
https://www.everydayhealth.com/hs/guide-to-managing-menopause/the-optimal-menopause-diet/There is a part of me that wants to binge watch The Golden Girls. LOL. Welcome to menopause.

New Tech = Faster Speed!
I have been getting emails from Cox (my ISP) telling me my modem was out of date and would not work with the newer tech that Cox is implementing. It took 3 phone calls and a trip to the Cox store, but I finally got the new modem working with Cox and the wireless router worked when I followed the instructions in the manual. I looked at Consumer Reports and the reviews for these and other brands and this looked the best. I went with the same brand for both modem and wireless router in order to get them working together more easily.
One Box At A Time...
I’ve cleared out 3 office boxes (1 was found empty) and I’m down to the last one for today.
Where I’m at right now (although the floor needs to be vacuumed). I can see the piano bench! LOL.

How Much Money Do You Really Need In Life?
There are people in this world who want to be rich. If you’re one of them, you’ll want to read this article from Bloomberg. God bless you in your journey and good luck.
For me, I’m still trying to figure out the wealth thing. My attitude is I just want enough that is is “sufficient for my needs”.
Enough to cover the emergencies in life, enough to be able to retire without skipping meals, enough for maybe one trip per year.
I don’t know how much that is, but it is certainly not $25 million dollars, which according to private bankers, is ground level rich.

I’ve begun replacing my plastic containers with glass and will be incorporating some metal containers as well in the kitchen. The plastic straws have been replaced with metal straws you can order online from Walmart.com.

The Glue That Was My Sutures
This past Thursday I went for the Post Op.
They took out two cysts, one was endometriosis, the other was the kind that can come back. Yeah, like I need another one of those.
The doctor asked if the adhesive had washed away. I told him I guess it had, I hadn’t really noticed.
Tonight it peeled off. All three areas. Man, it hurts.
Pain is progress, right?
