Have you seen ads on tv, the radio or the internet about having Gold Parties?
I had no idea there were people who spent that much money on "bling". I don't know about you, but I find this to be ridiculous, now it seems these gold parties are the "fashionable" thing to do.

We have been doing gold parties for two years now. It started in Michigan and spread out over the US and Canada. Even people in Europe are getting into it. The parties are a blast, some wine and snacks combined with 10 - 15 women who have jewelry from ex-boyfriends and husbands creates an enviroment for some great stories.
The majortiy of the items are form the 70's and 80's when big yellow gold was all the fashion. With gold at $900oz, we are paying out about the same it was purchased at years ago. Most go home with $300 - $500 each and with the hostess earning 10% of the take, they are much more fun and profitable than the traditional tuperware parties.

Unfortunately, people went into debt buying a lot of stuff, including the gold they are now selling to pay their bills and keep a roof over their heads.
I worked for too many years in consumer lending and saw people doing exactly the same thing in the 1990's.
Then I worked in a large dollar commercial loan dept. and saw how people who have money used it to work for them, rather than people working for their money.
Sorry, but I'm not into the latest "fads".
