After working an 8 hour shift, I’ve fed the cats, taken some recycling out to the recycling center, brought in Costco purchases made Wednesday after work, run a load of dishes, folded up and put away the laundry in the dryer, put the load of laundry in the washing machine into the dryer and started a new load of laundry in the washing machine.
And a load of dishes.
I still have two more loads of dishes and countless more loads of laundry to go, but there you have it. It’s a start.
Not bad given that the cats woke me at 3:00 this morning.
Thankfully, tomorrow is Friday, and the last day before Spring Break next week.
We’ll see what I get done next week, as I have no plans set to go anywhere.
I love this message from the Mormon Channel, I know someone who is obsessed with knowing the truth of all things, and while there are things he discovers that I agree with, there are others I don’t based upon my own “reality”.
I’ve posted about this before, but the story used reminds me of Plato’s Cave.
The iTunes you see here, is running completely off the external hard drive, no longer on my computer’s hard drive. I’ve plugged in one of the external drives that has been holding some of the other videos, so now I’ll import them into THIS library! Progress!
AND with 122 GB of data removed from my computer, it should be running a LOT better!
Yeah, 122 GB of music and movies does take a while to transfer over. And this is only the stuff I had on my computer. There are a LOT more movies and music that wasn’t on my computer. Hence the 8 TB external drive.
The process of moving my overflowing iTunes library to an external drive begins. I’ve already changed the preferences to read off the external drive, we’ll see what happens when I actually move the library over.
Since I use Time Machine, everything is already backed up.
Many of you know I’m a Harry Potter nut, although, I’m not sure which I love more, Harry Potter or Disney. Tough choice if I had to make one.
So, this is something that I’ve been thinking about for a while.
What if: Harry is symbolically a phoenix, just like Fawkes is an actual phoenix?
What if: Harry was “christened” with Fawkes’ tears as a baby? We know that Dumbledore had visited James and Lily just prior to their deaths, because he had possession of James’ cloak of invisibility.
Would that have had anything to do with Harry rising like a phoenix as he grew older and being able to meet the challenges of living with the Dursleys?
Remember, in book 2 (Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets), Fawkes gives tears to Harry. Not to Ginny, not to Ron, only to Harry. What physiological effect would those tears have on Harry’s body in handling the challenges that would come later?
Would the tears (along with the tail feather in Harry’s wand) have been instrumental in the wand shielding Harry from the killing curse every time it was tossed at him?
The other question is regarding the cloak. Since Peter Pettigrew was giving information to Voldemort, does that mean that, while he was intent on killing Harry to stop Harry from killing Voldemort, was Voldemort seeking to kill James because he knew from Peter that James would have the cloak of invisibility?
Enjoy this video from SuperCarlinBrothers. This is one of a few channels I go to for trivia and fun from the Harry Potter world.
